When I buy moisturizers I like choosing ones made with natural ingredients. This is because I apply them over my entire face and neck and I don't like using something with lots of chemicals for such a big and delicate area. So I was really excited to try out Trilane's Retinol + Vitamin C Anti-Aging Moisturizer. This is actually my first anti-aging moisturizer but I don't think it is ever too early to start using products that will keep your skin looking fresh and radiant.
I love that most of the ingredients are really good, here's a few...
Squalane (olive derived)-helps soften the skin and leaves it feeling supple
Retinol-minimizes fines lines
Vitmin C-brightens and evens out skin tone
Pomegranate, Cucumber, & Licorice extracts-soothes inflammation, lightens skintone, fades spots, and helps keep skin hydrated
Sunflower Oil-protects skin from environmental damage
It feels like a mixture between a water and an oil, I really like it. It is very light yet it still moisturizes really well and a little goes a long way.
After I finish massaging it into my skin it leaves it really soft and dewy. I have been loving how glowy my skin looks with this moisturizer and I often only wear this along with some light concealer and I am good to go.

You will need:
- large aloe leaf
- really strong green tea (optional)
- bottle to store gel in
- vitamin e capsule (optional - helps preserve the gel a little longer)
What to do:
1. Cut aloe leaf in half and scrape gel out with a spoon. You will need about 1 cup of gel.
2. Pour aloe gel into blender along with 1/4 cup of strong green tea, and 1 vitamin e capsule and blend well. The green tea is optional but I like adding it because it makes the gel a little more runny and has anti-inflammatory properties. If you don't want to add in the green tea you can always drink it instead because staying hydrated is one of the most important things to help heal dry sunburned skin.
3. Pour it into a bottle and keep it in the fridge. The cool aloe gel will feel really good on hot inflamed skin. I think this will keep in the fridge for about a week or two but I like to use it up quickly so it doesn't go to waste. You can use leftovers to moisturize other parts of your body or use it as shave gel.
Thanks to this lovely gel my red, painful sunburn has turned into the nice tan it should have been all along.
I ♥ aloe!

Hi guys! I haven't been posting much lately on my blog but I will soon, most likely next week. Currently I am not home, I am in another city visiting my cousin but I should be back next week and get some new posts here on my blog. In the meantime, you can see what I have been up to on my instagram @simplynancyblog

Feels like summer here because it is way too hot for jeans but I love it. So instead I wore distressed shorts with a simple blouse and my favorite shoes of the moment! :D I hope everyone has had a lovely week so far! I have been enjoying not having to wake up early for class and getting out of my old boring routine.
Today I caught up on reading my favorite magazines (vogue & glamour) and tried making my own "chocolate" to dip strawberries in. It was a success! I made the chocolate dip using dates, cacao powder, and a little bit of water. Only three ingredients and it was delicious :D I also took some outfit pictures and those will be up tomorrow. Good night! x
1. You will want to cut some fresh roses from your garden( or buy organic roses - not treated with nasty chemicals).
2. Have a mini photo shoot hehe (optional ;D)
3. Wash the petals gently to rinse of any tiny bugs.
4. Place petals in small pot and fill with filtered or distilled water, just enough to barely cover the petals.
5. Place on stove, cover, and turn heat on to low.
6. Once the petals have lost most of their color, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool.
7. Take a clean jar and wrap a coffee filter around it. Then pour the cooled rosewater through the filter.
8. VOILA! Beautiful pink rosewater! (Or rose-infused water) Now all you have to do is pour it into little glass bottles. If you have a small spray bottle you can carry it around with you to refresh your face throughout the day! :) This will keep for about one, maybe two, weeks in the fridge.
