Inspired by all the shower routine videos on youtube I decided to do my own version to share the products and steps I take before, during, and after my shower. Hope you like it :)
2. Then I hop in the shower and stand in the water just thinking about life things and waiting for my hair to get fully wet before I shampoo. I use shea moisture's manuka honey shampoo that I still love. The price is good ($10-$12 I think), it lasts a long time, it smells SO good, and it works well on my hair. By the way, I don't use conditioner. Some may think that's weird, but I have found that my hair doesn't need it so why spend more money on some haha. That being said, I have been thinking of picking one up though just for when I need extra moisture.
While my hair is shampooing I use the calia body wash on a bath pouf to cleanse my body. I added my own essential oils and it smells wonderful and relaxing :)
The last thing I do is shave my legs because it's a lot easier when my skin has been exfoliated and the hair has been soaking for a while and this way I get a smoother shave.
3. Once I'm out of the shower I pat most of the water off my skin and while my skin is still damp I moisturize using lotion or body oils. My favorites are almond oil, calia lotion, and clarins body oil.
4. And lastly I moisturize my face with the calia rose cream. I also brush out my hair while it's still wet. I know I've read it's not good to brush your hair while it's soaking wet but it's totally necessary for my hair because when it dries it will be a wavy mess if I don't.

Late breakfast while catching up on my favorite show. Anyone else love pll? I can't wait for next weeks episode! My diet has consisted of smoothies and soft foods since Thursday when I had some teeth extracted. It wasn't that bad until I ran out of bananas the next day, now what was I supposed to eat? I stocked up on bananas and mangoes but now I'm waiting on them to ripen...
Mascara shopping at walmart. I tried it on in the car after buying it and I posted it on snapchat (follow me: simplyynancy) and I'm wearing it again today. It's such a good mascara and it was only $7 at walmart...yassss!
Gotta follow dentist orders and eat soft food only so lots of veggie lo mein for me....hehe kidding :)
SHOP THE LOOK
I don't know what it is about what's in my bag posts/videos but they're so interesting to me. I thought I would do my own and show you what I carry in mine, it basically stays the same but I switch out products, like for example a different lip balm, etc.
1. Eyeglasses. I only wear these when I really need them, for example when I'm driving or when I need to see something far away... You may be wondering why I don't just get contacts.. But I can't stand the thought of putting something into my eye and wearing it all day so it's not gonna happen.2. Eye drops. I love my computer but, it's not very nice to my eyes after a while.
3. Cash and loose change. A necessity when your favorite ice cream shop only takes cash...
4. Notebook and pen. I use this for writing blog ideas/thoughts/doodling on the go. Btw, erasable pens are the best!
5. Rings, hair things, and crystal. I think most of the time my rings are sitting in my bag rather than on my hands haha.
6. Phone charger.
7. Cards. Important ones like my froyo punch card, as you might be able to see I have two more punches left til I can get one free :D
8. Deodorant. I have been using meow meow tweets baking soda free for a little over a month now and I loved it at first, but now I'm not too sure.
9. Lip things. Minty lip balm from my last post and nars lip pencil.
10. Hand sanitizer.
I made a list of the products that I find myself using and loving every morning lately. From what I like to drink to start my mornings, to my favorite beauty and oral hygiene products.
Buddha Teas - Saffron & Green Tea
I like drinking some type of tea with my breakfast every morning, lately it has been this delicious green tea with saffron. Green tea is one of my favorite teas because it has a lot of health benefits (you should google them) and it has some caffeine to give me a little energy boost. The beautiful vibrant golden color of the tea comes from the saffron, a spice that comes from flower stigmas. This tea is delicious by itself and even more so with honey but I have to admit that I am even more in love with the gorgeous color hehe :D
Btw I have to mention that I'm really impressed by the quality of this brand. They leave a lot of unnecessary things out of their teas like artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives, they don't use GMO's, and their tea bags are bleach free....awesome! You can check out their enormous selection of teas on their website, Buddha Teas.
On my face, I like using this magical hempseed oil. Not really magical but it works really well to get rid of breakouts and random pimples quickly. This is because of the ozone in it, basically oxygen but with a third atom......okay guys I wasn't very good at chemistry but something like that. The smell reminds me of cucumbers for some reason, it's fresh but strong. Sometimes it's a little overpowering but if it works well then I'm not complaining. You can also ingest it, but I'm not quite ready to try that haha. You can find it on their website, Ozone Factory. Here's a 10% discount code that came in my order in case any of would like to try it. Code: OZONEFRIEND10
Living Libations Healthy Gum Drops
These little drops have totally changed my oral hygiene! I use one drop on my dental floss, one drop in my salt water rinse, one drop on my toothbrush, one drop as a breath freshner......seriously one drops is all you need for so many things! My mouth has never felt as clean and actually fresh, not just masked by menthol and other ingredients. Which reminds me that I should look for a new toothpaste... Available at Living Libations.
Acure Dark Chocolate + Mint Lip Balm
Lip balm is always a must in the mornings for me....and throughout the day! This one is actually perfect right after brushing my teeth because it has a minty-tingly sensation and it tastes like spearmint gum, making my mouth feel even cleaner! Available here.
What do you think of my daily essentials, do you have any similar ones to mine?

Loooove when teas have quotes :)

I always love receiving little samples of beauty/skin/hair care products but these in particular I was super excited about because I love Acure! Their Moroccan argan oil + argan stem cell shampoo is really nice! Anyways, the first set of samples that I will be reviewing are the pure mint + echinacea shampoo and conditioner, moroccan argan stem cell body wash, and the advanced triple moisture body lotion.
First a little more about the brand, their products contain no gluten, animal testing, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, harmful preservatives, and artificial colors. Another thing I love about Acure is that they are easily accessible because you can find their products at Target, a big plus for me!
Pure Mint + Echinacea Shampoo & Conditioner. They both have a very nice minty-fresh smell. The shampoo is very gentle but still left my hair feeling very clean but not stripped at all. The conditioner made my hair feel super silky smooth, loved it! As for the voluminous effect it's supposed to have, I didn't notice any difference but it definitely doesn't weight down my hair.
Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil Body Wash. THIS body wash is amazing! It smells just like their argan oil shampoo - heavenly! It lathers really well and doesn't dry out my skin. I think I like it almost as much as I like my Calia body wash so I will most likely be purchasing this one.
Advanced Triple Moisture Body Lotion. It smells just like sweet oranges, not my favorite smell for skin care but it is very uplifting. It blended into my skin really well and dried super quick too, something I look for in all of my body lotions. My skin was left feeling really silky and soft. I like the formulation but I would love it more in another scent.
Do you have any favorites from this brand, let me know below! :)

Concealer is a must-have makeup product for me. I have really bad undereye circles, like really bad. So I always like wearing at least a little dab of concealer if I'm going out anywhere to help me look a little more alive and not looking like a zombie.
My favorites are the MyChelle concealer in cream and the Christopher Drummond Duo-Phase Hydrating Concealer in light, I kinda think it's a little too light for me though. The MyChelle is lightweight, creamy, smells delicious, and blends easily. This is my go-to everyday concealer because it covers enough to brighten my eyes but still looks natural. iHerb and Vitacost are out of stock right now but you can get it directly from their website here. The Christopher Drummond is medium-full coverage, a little goes a long way, and really brightens my undereye area. I couldn't find the CD beauty website but you can find the concealer on amazon here. I love to put on a thin layer of the MyChelle then put a layer of Christopher Drummond and finish off with another thin layer of the Mychelle, it sounds like a lot but it isn't and I love the finished look.

What's your favorite concealer, whether it's natural or not, I'd love to know! :) Are there any you'd like to try? I have always wanted to try Nars radiant creamy concealer.
Update: I did a little more searching and found that Christopher Drummond Beauty rebranded and they are now called Hynt Beauty so you can find their rebranded concealer here.
I created my outfit around this t-shirt that was sent out to a group of Latina bloggers to celebrate POPSUGAR Latina's launch and as part of this campaign we also shared what makes us all American and all Latina. You can find out more details on my Instagram post here and you can join the conversation too! I paired it with my new pants because I love how it's super casual but all the pockets and zips on them make it more interesting.
