So many of you have reached out to me asking how I edit my instagram photos so today's post is dedicated to showing you all my favorite apps and editing tips. It's nothing complicated at all, honestly, I could probably just use VSCO and be completely fine. The way I edit depends on the photo but for the most part, I try to stick to the same filters so that my feed flows and feels cohesive.
My must have editing apps are VSCO and Lightroom. Facetune and Snapseed are really good too but I don't use them every time.
Step 1: Import photo into the Lightroom app. From here I will first edit the lighting, vibrance, saturation, colors, etc. This app is really perfect for pulling little details, like bringing up the saturation in your dress, enhancing your skin tone, etc. Another fun tool I like using in this app is split toning, which lets you pick the hue of your highlights and shadows. I tend to go for pinks/oranges/purples. Lastly, I will save the photo.
Step 2: I open up the photo in VSCO. This is the fun part and what gives my photos their overall feel! My top 3 filters are E7, E5, and M5. E5 gives my photos a pink tint that I love and is my most used filter. E7 is similar to that one but makes my skin pop more! And M5 is like a soft, muted filter which I love to layer with and is great for flat lays. One thing I have found when I can't decide which filter to use is to layer them up! This way I can get what I love from both without settling for only one. You just have to apply your first filter, save it, upload it, then apply your next filter. Next, I give my photo it's finishing touches. I will crop it to fit Instagram, add grain and increase sharpness.

Occasionally I will need to whiten/desaturate objects or backgrounds and that's when I would use Snapseed and Facetune. I also really love the details feature on Facetune, it's perfect for making jewelry/accessories pop.

From here I will upload it to my LIKEtoKNOW.it and link up all the products I'm wearing for you guys to shop. Be sure to follow me on the app to be the first to see my looks!
That's it! I told you guys it was pretty simple. Now it's your turn! Let me know if there's any photo editing app that I need to try or let me know your favorite filters!

RUE21 top | LEVI'S 501 shorts | ADIDAS sneakers | MELIE BIANCO judy crossbody bag | MEJURI zodiac necklace
Happy Tuesday loves! It's officially fall now but the cool, crisp weather isn't 100% here yet. That's where these in between outfits save the day. I can wear my long sleeves, lightweight sweaters, boots, hats and still stay cool as long as I'm wearing shorts lol. I received some pieces from rue21 to style this fall and this striped lettuce edge top is one of them! It's super cute and so comfy. My shorts are levi's and they're my favorite.
Stay tuned for some more fall outfits and don't forget to keep up with me on Instagram.
Cooler temps make me want to stay inside and just cuddle up on the sofa. So naturally, I started browsing Pinterest for some cozy home inspiration. I definitely need it because I'll be moving into a new apartment with my boyfriend at the end of fall. We are basically starting from scratch with decor and all so I'm really excited to get moved in already so the fun can begin!
As far as style goes, I really want it to have a modern yet cozy feel. A place that feels like home but more on the 'minimal' side. At least that's where my thoughts are right now. I want a lot of cozy fabrics, faux fur, woods, plants, white, grey and black. If you need some home inspo check out my home board.
Faux plants are perfect for those dark corners that need a little life but you know a real plant wouldn't survive. Or you know, if you just don't have a green thumb lol.
3 | tiled monogram mug
I'm one of those people that love collecting cute mugs and this one is adorable. Obsessed with the tile look!

I found out about parachute some months ago and now I actually have a good excuse to shop from them. This duvet cover looks like a dream and will be the first thing I save up for!

6 | compagnie de provence hand soap
I was debating between buying cute bottles to put soap in or just buying soap that already comes in aesthetically pleasing bottles. Then I came across this brand that I've seen all over bathroom photos on pinterest. It's a bit of a splurge for hand soap but it's cute. That's what matters right!

8 | jute storage basket
I'm obsessed with baskets like this for storage. It's a much prettier way to hide the mess. But recently I saw where someone actually used it as a pot to hold their fiddle leaf fig in - such a cool idea!

9 | terrace coffee table
The multiple levels on this table instantly caught my eye. This gives me plenty of space to style it with books and pretty knick knacks.

10 | soft chenille rug
The reviews on this rug mentioned how it was so soft and that's all I had to read. SOLD.
11 | burrow sofa
Our requirements for a sofa include being comfy, grey, and easy to move. That last one is especially hard to come by when couch shopping. But then we discovered burrow. Their sofas come packed in boxes and they have a modular design which means you can add or remove sections depending on your current situation. Apart from that they're also sustainable, stain resistant, and have a hidden USB charger. Coolest couch ever.
12 | wood bar stools
These bar stools aren't pictured in my collage but I had to at least mention them for anyone else that might be looking for some. They look so good and the price is just right.
I'm excited to share this decorating journey with you guys. I won't be moved in until the end of November but if there are any home posts you'd like to see please let me know!

I have to admit I hated this trend when I first saw it. Why would anyone want to buy, much less wear hideous sneakers... but... I can't believe I'm saying this... I kind of love this ugly sneaker trend now. I love the combination of a feminine dress with an ugly sneaker, it's an unexpected twist. The balenciaga triple s is the one that truly has my heart but there's no way I'm shelling out $900 for a pair of sneakers. No way. So, for now, I think this pair (also comes in this variation)will have to do. They're really affordable and are some of the best looking 'ugly sneakers' in my opinion.
Okay, now I want YOU to tell me if you would wear this trend!

I wanted to share 4 different looks that I've created with pieces from Saved By The Dress. I recently discovered their online boutique and I'm loving every single piece I've gotten from them. They have a really good selection of different styles and with reasonable prices. I'm impressed with the quality too, the fabrics aren't sheer and they've held up after washing.
OUTFIT 1:
When I saw this cami on their website I knew I had to have it! It's a cami so it works year-round - layer it up with fuzzy, over-sized coats for fall and winter. It's on sale so don't pass this one up.
Hands down the cutest dress I've worn all summer. Every time I wear it I receive so many compliments on it. It's just adorable and it's made out of linen so it's very breathable and comfy for a hot day.
OUTFIT 3:
This is the cutest checked romper and I know you guys agree because you loved it when I posted it on my instagram. It's so flowy and perfect for a warm day.
OUTFIT 4:
I had been dying to try out a top in this style. I've seen them everywhere this summer. I felt so girly wearing this top, it must be the ruffles/frilly details. If you're wondering what bra to wear with this style top, I got you! THIS is my favorite (this one is also good). This top is on sale to so grab it while you can.
Are you in love with these pieces as much as I am? Definitely one of my new favorite online stores! I'm looking forward to seeing what they carry for fall. I'll be sharing some fall looks soon so stay tuned for that. For size reference, I got a small in all the items.
